Grant Writer & Donor Relations

Prepare grant proposals and manage grant process for regions to meet assigned budget goals in coordination with region staff. Build solid relationships with foundations and other grant funders with the end goal of deepening their knowledge of and commitment to the organization. Work as part of a team committed to achieving the organization's mission to provide year-round sports and training programs for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Volunteer Director

Engages in outreach efforts to promote the wide range of available volunteer opportunities and the value of volunteering at Special Olympics Southern California (SOSC). Responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive volunteer management program throughout SOSC for all divisions. Work directly with employees and key volunteers to develop individual volunteer leadership skills. Oversee all volunteer service functions of the organization, from identification of volunteer needs fulfillment to retention and recognition programs, including oversight of volunteer management software system.
