Opening Ceremony: A Night to Remember

This year’s Opening Ceremony was an incredible and moving experience—the perfect way to launch the Summer Games weekend with energy and heart. The night reached an unforgettable high as America’s Got Talent champion Kodi Lee closed the show with a powerful performance that brought the crowd to its feet and filled the stadium with excitement. The celebration also featured inspiring vocals from singer and disability rights advocate Jennifer Kumiyama, and guitarist Ronny North, who kicked off the evening with an electrifying set and an original rendition of the National Anthem. Kodi Lee: America's Got Talent Champion

Kodi Lee is an inspirational musician, singer, pianist, songwriter, and Winner of America’s Got Talent, Season 14. With over 432 million views and counting online, his Golden Buzzer performance became the most viral audition in AGT history. He just recently concluded a headlining spot in the AGT Superstars LIVE show at the Luxor Hotel and Casino. Today, he is busy in the studio working on his first, debut album.
Kodi is a musical prodigious savant – one of only around 25 in the world today. Music has shaped him into the person he is today. Kodi is blind and autistic, but this has never held him back from his dreams. Kodi has a photographic memory with music. His range of music is endless, ranging from R & B, Soul, EDM, Rock, Pop, Country, Oldies, Alternative and Classical.
He is active across the country with his philanthropic endeavors, working to raise awareness and inspire hope and change within underprivileged and overlooked communities and individuals. Kodi continues to perform for thousands of people as a soloist and with his band of over 12 years.
Jennifer Kumiyama: Singer, Actress, Advocate

Jennifer Kumiyama was born with Arthrogryposis and uses a wheelchair daily. She identifies as an Asian, Pacific Islander and Black woman with a disability. She serves as Citywide Accessibility Coordinator at the City of Long Beach – where she is tasked with making sure the City is in compliance with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
A disability activist for over two decades, her work began in 2002 when Jennifer was cast in Disney’s “Aladdin; a Musical Spectacular” at Disney California Adventure Theme Park, where she was the first performer in a wheelchair to ever be on any Disney stage in the world. Jennifer used her performing platform at Disney to compete and win the title of Ms. Wheelchair California 2010 where she promoted empowerment for youth with disabilities, speaking throughout the state of California and the nation during her reign. Other credits
include Carmen in ‘The Sessions’, MTV’s ‘awkward.’, and ‘Celebrity Undercover Boss’.
Recently, Jennifer can be heard as the voice of ‘Dahlia’ in Disney’s animated feature film, ‘WISH’.
She is currently a Communication Studies major at California State University Long Beach.
Paige Hurd: Opening Ceremony Emcee

Paige Hurd is a well-known actress born and raised on 20th July 1992, in Dallas, Texas. She was born to African American, Puerto Rican mother and an African American father. She is best known for her magnificent role as Tasha Clarkson on the American hit sitcom Everybody Hates Chris (2005). Some of her best films are The Cat in the Hat (2003) released in the year 2003, Cradle 2 the Grave (2003) released in the same year and Beauty Shop (2005) in 2005. Paige began her acting career preparing with Dallas Young Actors Studio. Paige showed up in Jasmine Villegas music video for “I Own This” and Steph Jones’ music video for “Excellent.” She was likewise included as Justin Bieber’s love interest for his music video of Justin Bieber: Never Let You Go (2010). She was highlighted in Romeo Miller’s music video Mistletoe. She was additionally included in two of singers “Trevante’s” music recordings “Be your First” and “For eternity”. In 2014 Paige featured in G-Eazy’s music video for the single “I Mean it”.
