2023 LA Galaxy Unified Game vs Chicago Fire
The coed LA Galaxy Special Olympics Unified team is composed of 20 mid to advanced level teammates between the ages of 16-25 with and without intellectual disabilities chosen based on 3 key factors: (1) player’s ability to work well with others and value teammates of all abilities, (2) a high level of commitment to the Play Unified experience and to their fellow teammates, and finally (3) their understanding of the game and rules of soccer.
Each season, MLS Unified soccer teams travel for exhibition matches scheduled in conjunction with MLS first team matches to reinforce inclusivity and showcase their talents and abilities to MLS fans. The teams participate in training, matches, and inclusive social experiences.
SOSC LA Galaxy Unified team competes against the Chicago Fire Unified team at Dignity Health Sport Park. Use the below link to order tickets to the main LA Galaxy game at 7:30 p.m. and $3 will be donated for each ticket sold to SOSC. Also you can stay for the Unified game after the 1st match!
