Guard the Flame
The Law Enforcement Torch Run raises awareness and funds for Special Olympics. Hundreds of officers serve as Guardians of the Flame, escorting the Flame of Hope to Summer Games and participating in fundraising throughout the year.
Attend an Event
Be a fan in the stand and cheer on the athletes at a local competition or attend one of our fun and exciting fundraisers like a Bowl-A-Thon or the Polar Plunge!
WHO WE ARE
Special Olympics San Diego County provide seasonal sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
