  • It was founded on the principles of charity, unity, and fraternity.

About LETR

  • The Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) was founded in 1981 by Wichita Kansas Police Chief Richard LaMunyon.
  • The mission of LETR is to generate funds/spread awareness and inclusion for Special Olympics athletes. 
  • LETR is an international organization made up of law enforcement agencies around the world
  • LETR has raised over $1 billion for Special Olympics since the organization was founded.
